In ancient Egypt, only the most cherished loved ones were worthy of being meticulously wrapped in linen and spices, in pursuit of eternity. We chose an unreleased kar-style official's hat chair as its "canvas," then sought out delicate antique silk, dyed with mugwort, and carefully wrapped and sewed it stitch by stitch. The chair transcends its function as seating, resembling a treasured "mummy"—an expression and display of our shared aesthetic values.
